As Yphi watched her clan disappear over the horizon, she could feel tears running down her face. A small group of Plague dragons had contaminated their main water supply, and the clan's food sources had been slowly dying out. They were in desperate need of food, and money was running low. The elders had met secretly to discuss what to do about the current shortage. Though they were reluctant at first, they decided that a sacrifice had to be made; dragons would have to leave the clan. Quite a few left of their own accord. However, it wasn't enough to feed the dragons that stayed. And so ten were chosen, Yphi among them.

She stood on shaking legs. She was all alone now. The Skydancer had no choice but to start looking for a new home.

______Tiny, although a troublesome little thing, is the light in Yphi's life. He likes to crawl up on her head to see from her perspective. His favorite food is honey, and he has been stung by bees many times. He never stops hunting for their honey, though!
______Yphi found the little Coralclimber by the ocean. He was just too cute to leave him there, and, as she tells Erva, "he gave me those eyes!" She raised and nurtured the little thing, spoiling him beyond imagination.
______Even though he's all grown, Tiny still always sleeps with Gale.
