--biography--
Growing up in the Scarred Wasteland was too easy for Shyrza. From a young age, she was always eager to be challenged, or she became the challenge herself. Picking fights with her siblings, ignoring her father's strict rules, or poking and prodding every strange creature to ooze out of the Wyrmwound; most considered her more of a curse than "Plaguebringer's Gift." Relief came to her clan when Shyrza was accepted to the Guard Academy for Plague Dragons, where she could learn some control and spend her energy on drills and fighting other trainees. A promising member of her class, she was recruited immediately upon graduation by Keith, the head of the Thornguard[/url] of the Rosewood Clan[/url].

As Iemyria's personal guard, Shyrza is eager to prove that she is an asset to the Rosewood Clan and can protect the founder, who many consider to be their most special member. This usually results in much angry muttering and short-lived panic as Shyrza shows off, flying in dangerous formations, causing a scene at the Trading Post, or pretending meals are poisoned to dramatically save the day. Though many frown upon her antics, Shyrza is good at what she does, happy to work and earn a living, even in the Nature realm as a Plague dragon. She gets along well with many of the younger dragons, partying and wrecking havoc or putting the "wild" in the Shrieking Wilds. There are a few who dislike her for more than just her behavior, however. More than once, Shyrza has had words with the religious members of the Rosewood Clan, poking fun at their rituals and denying the existence of the deities, believing they were no more than important dragons of their time that were put on a pedestal and worshipped by weak minds. Custom dictates that Shyrza is free to believe whatever she'd like, but her beliefs are likable to a target on her back. |
