WATCHER OF MILDSTORM

”Mildstorm, please, just listen to me.”

Rosemonde is sort of a body guard for Mildstorm, who is her charge. She was appointment to watch him 24/7 because of crimes he’s committed. (The only reason Mildstorm wasn’t banished from the clan is because Rosemonde showed up at just the right time and promised to watch him every second to keep him on the straight and narrow, and to make sure he would never hurt anyone ever again. She was also sworn to secrecy on his acts, and only the council, Mildstorm, and her know what Mildstorm did.) She submits a report on Mildstorm weekly to the council, and follows him wherever he goes. She lives with him and Chia, his daughter, and she has some knowledge on first aid, though only enough to prevent someone’s death on a battlefield until they can get to a doctor. So she also goes with him to his office and sometimes helps him work.

Rosemonde wants so badly to believe that Mildstorm has put his past behind him and is focused on doing good now. But she also doesn’t know if he’s capable of that, or if he’s really committed to doing better. She still wants, more than anything in the world, for Mildstorm to be safe and stable and to take care of himself so she doesn’t have to worry about him every second.

Rosemonde’s relationship with her charge’s daughter, Chia, is an “allied by circumstance” one. Chia wants to know what her father did but Rosemonde isn’t allowed to tell her, although she does believe Chia has the right to know.
