Biography

The dragon named Carbuncle wasn't born with that name. Originally called Unknown 002 at the Auction House, the Imperial Fire dragon lived his life with little memories of his parents and as to why they decided to sell him off. Years go by and the dragon matured, and so did the anger and despair that was pent up within him. Why? Was I too ugly? Did they not love me? These were the questions he asked himself everyday. That was, until a black dragon, skin as dark as night, came to see the dragons on sale. Green ooze was flowing out of the mouth of the black dragon, and in that instant, Unknown 002 knew what he was.

"Plague dragon..." he whispered with disgust. He had seen many plague dragons come and go at the Auction House. As usual, almost all the dragons, sellers, patrons and products nearby started to fly away quickly in fear, afraid that they might catch whatever disease the Plague dragon had, though the products couldn't get as far due to the chains that held them to the ground. Unknown 002, just stared at the black dragon, wondering how such creatures could even exist.

"My...what is thissssss...it seemssss you are not afraid at all...", the black dragon hissed as his eyes suddenly locked onto Unknown 002. The gaze from the 4 blood eyes pierced the heart of the Imperial dragon with fear. It was not that Unknown 002 was unafraid, it was because he was too lost in his thoughts that he himself had forgotten to fly away like the rest. Despite being much larger than the mirror dragon, Unknown 002 knew the black dragon had much more blood and experience on his claws. He would stand no chance if he tried to resist.

"Auctioneer! I sssssshall purchassssse this dragon for 20000 gold!", the black dragon exclaimed as he threw an entire bag of gold onto the floor, its content spilling all over.

"TAKE HIM!", the auctioneer screamed with delight as it rushed over to pick the gold up. It couldn't care less of what would happen to Unknown 002.

"I like you. I ssmell much anger and hatred within. You have much potential, Unknown 002.", the Mirror dragon explained as he turned to face the Imperial dragon. With one quick swipe, the chains binding Unknown 002 were broken. The metal links fell to the floor. "Now come! We have much to do with you!" Unknown 002 had no choice but to abide...

Somewhere within the plague lands, a horrifying roar echoed throughout the skies. Screams of pain pierced the air. The mutated animals nearby knew what was occurring. It was a Rite of Passage. A simple ritual that was part of the heritage of the black dragon's pack. A horrifying disease is injected into the newcomer. If it survives, it will become one of with the pack. Fail, and submit to the disease and die. It was a simple ritual that brings out the will of a dragon to survive. The simple philosophy of a Plague dragon. Days goes by as the screams slowly became more hoarse. Sometimes, a laughter or two could be heard. After what seemed like a week, the land became silent once more. The ritual was complete.

The green glow from the pit filled with ooze illuminated the dark walls. Shadows of other dragon danced on it. The pack of the black dragon were eager to see the results. A new family member, or another corpse, which means more food? The black dragon stood over the pit, his commanding posture gave of an aura of fear that allowed him to lead the pack in the first place. His eyes observed the Imperial dragon that laid within, waiting for any movement. The, he saw it. A twitch, then a whip of the tail and the opening of the eyes. The Imperial dragon burst from the pit, spilling the ooze all over the walls of the lair.

"Rissssse! You are now Carbuncle, Carrier of Carbunculossssissss!", the black dragon roared. The other pack members roared in unison. What was once Unknown 002 was all gone. The Imperial dragon opened his eyes, rage and despair could be seen within it, fueling his very soul. Only four words came from his mouth.

"For the Plague Mother..."

"Die from the heat of the soul! And know that my name is Carbuncle, Carrier of Carbunculosis!"
-Carbuncle, Carrier of Carbunculosis
