If there is one thing one realizes when meeting Aeetes, it is that he is too clever by far. There's a cunning in his gaze, in his slight small. Words drip from his mouth, warm as blood and thick as syrup, and spill secrets into the waiting hands of those who listen. These secrets are willingly given, carefully chosen things that Aeetes can bear to part with. To assume one has the upper hand over Aeetes is to be several steps back.

The only thing Aeetes craves is control. He wishes to pluck himself out from his own family tree, to explore the world on his own whim. He understands too clearly what it means to be born from a star; he knows how rare his birthing is. He just has no interest in bringing honor and glory to this newly birthed bloodline. He has no interest beyond heeding his own interests, really.

Aeetess was born when the fallen star Helios laid with the mortal Clymene. He was born alongside his equally adept brother Perses, both powerful mages in their own right. While Perses boasts a deep ambition and willingness to strive for progress, Perses is the one with the clever and sharp mind. 		__
