Biography

"Mother? Who are those dragons talking with father?" The hatchling asked. The dragons were strange and scared the hatchling just by looking at them.
"My dear, those are your father's friends. They're here to talk about a food trade."
Hijau nodded as if he understood what that meant and walked back over to his siblings who were wrestling with each other.
"Rift, man, you know that won't work. Half of your share of meat will go to us and then our half of seafood will go to you. Deal?" One of the dragons said in an aggravated voice.
"No, Seo. That won't work, you know we need more than half of the meat we get." Hijau heard his father reply. His voice sounded tired.
Seo just sighed. "Fine, you get three fourths of the meat and half of our seafood. And we get one thing of our choice."
"Fine, I can work with that. What is the object of your choice?" Riftstalker asked, happy with the deal so far.
"You'll see soon. It won't affect everyone here. Only a few people in your clan." Seo's voice made Hijau feel a bit unsettled, but he was a hatchling. What did he know? It was probably just him being weird.

Only two days later did Hijau learn what the object of their choice was. It was him.
He had been sitting in the field outside of his parent's den, just looking at the butterflies that were flying around the flowers. They were just so interesting, nothing could draw his attention away from them. Not even the wing flaps that were booming above his head.
Nothing could draw his attention away from the butterflies...except for the claws that roughly picked him up from the ground. Hijau let out a small squeak in surprise, he began panicking and thrashing in the hold of the random dragon.
"Hey Brat, stop that would you?" A familiar voice met his ears. It was Seo.
"Mr. Seo? What are you doing? Where are we going? Do mother and father know?" Hijau let the questions pour out of his mouth without letting Seo answer.
"Yeah kid, your parents know. They're fine with it so just relax, okay?" Was the reply the hatchling got from the older dragon.

Seo flew for a long time. If Hijau had to guess he would say it was about two hours. Then finally, they landed. They were in a new flight, that much was easy to tell. It was dark and he saw broken structures on the way to where they were now. All around Seo and Hijau were dragons with heavy satchels attached to them. Hijau was set down next to Seo and just waited. He didn't know what they were waiting for but he waited anyway.
"Mr. Seo, who are those dragons?" Asked the Coatl.
"Customers, now hush. Remember the manners your mother and father taught you." Seo's voice was quiet as he spoke to the small nature hatchling.
Hijau nodded and just sat there while looking around. He sat until a strange looking dragon came up to them. They had a large satchel attached to their hip and a cloak hiding all features except for a yellow and blue snout and blue claws peaked from under the cloak.
The dragon opened it's mouth and spoke, "How much for it?"
Seo thought for a moment then responded with a small grin. "Only seventy five thousand. Sound good?"
The strange dragon just nodded and dug coins from their satchel which he then put in a new satchel to give to Seo.
"Pure nature Coatl?" Asked the Stranger. It was a weird question. What did pure nature Coatl mean? Was that a type of insect or something?
Seo didn't speak, instead he nodded and nudged Hijau to step forwards towards the stranger.
The stranger reached into the satchel once more and pulled out a weird looking tube. It had funny looking liquid in it. It was black and occasionally glowed purple. Was liquid supposed to do that? Hijau didn't know.
The stranger stepped forwards and lifted a talon to open the vial, they then gestured for Hijau to open his mouth, which he did without complaint. The liquid was poured down his throat, almost making the hatchling gag. It tasted like the rotten meat he had once found behind the clan infirmary.
"There, it should be out in just a few moments." He heard the stranger say.
"Oh that's weird...is the ground supposed to spin Mr. Seo?" He asked as he stumbled around a bit. The ground was swirling and his head was pounding.
"Yeah Brat, don't worry. Everything will be just fine." Was the last thing he heard before he fell into unconsciousness.
~~~
Hijau woke with a start. This wasn't his den? And where was Mr. Seo? Did he forget him somewhere?
The Coatl stood up to get a good look at his surroundings.
"Mr. Seo? Hello? Where did you go, Mister?" His squeaky voice echoed throughout the room he was in. He walked a few steps forwards before he was slightly yanked back by something on his back legs. There were shackles on his legs that were attached to the wall.
Struggling against the confines was pointless, and if he was being honest, it was painful. He sighed and sat back down. Might as well wait for Seo to come back and get the weird things off of him.
Hijau waited for an hour, and then another and another. Seo never showed up. His eyes began to droop when he heard claws clicking against the floor, and then humming met his ears. It was quiet and deep. It was a nice tune he had decided.
"Hello? Mr. Seo, is that you?" He asked with some hope in his voice. Homesickness was plaguing him.
"No little one, I'm not Seo. I am Lucio, nice to meet you." The owner of the voice rounded the corner and bowed. It was the dragon that had given him the weird liquid earlier. Except now the hood was off of the dragons head and he could see more of it.
The stranger- No, Lucio, looked pretty plain to Hijau. But that was coming from a hatchling who hadn't seen much of the worlds population yet.
Lucio had blue scales on his snout that bled into smooth yellow scales. He had pure white feathers on the back of his head as well as partially feathered wings. His tail was swinging behind him. It was distracting with the big white feathered tip.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr. Lucio!" The shrill voice of the hatchling made the older cringe away.
"Yes, yes. Now what is your name little one?" Lucio stared down at the hatchling and waited patiently.
"Oh! I'm Hijau, it means Green!" His voice was loud as he spoke. Hijau was always excited to explain the meaning of his name!
"That's such a wonderful name! Now, are you thirsty? Hungry perhaps?" Asked the adult as he walked over to some crates in the corner.
The hatchling thought for a moment before shrugging.
"I kind of am, what'cha got to eat and drink Mister?" Asked Hijau as he stood up and walked as close as the chains would let him.
"I have some fish and some water here, is that fine?" Was Lucio's response. He didn't really need to ask, he knew what the hatchling wanted. He glanced back at Hijau to see him nodding excitedly.
~~~

Hijau had decided that Lucio was weird. It had been almost a month now and he always asked Hijau how he was feeling and if he noticed anything different. He also asked how he liked the food. The answer to that question was, "I don't really like it." but that never changed what he was given. It was always a funny smelling fish that left a burning sensation in his mouth and made him feel sick. He was always given water that wasn't much better. It tasted sour and would make him gag so he quickly drank it when it was given to him.
