Biography
Gabriel had always had an interest in magic and alchemy from a young age. His parents would often teach him various recipes and allow him to mix ingredients uner supervision.
One day, while he was still very young, he was trying to create a potion that he'd seen his mother make. However; he'd misjudged the recipe and the cauldron was rapidly boiling over. In his panic to stop the mixture heating any further, he knocked the cauldron over and the mixture splashed on his wing. At first it idn't look like any damage had been done but as he grew older, it was discovered that the mixture had caused that wing's muscles to atrophy and so Gabriel was unable to fly.
That was, until many years later when he joined the Sassmaster Clan and became their resident healer and alchemist. Data had taken notice to the atrophied wing and had measured Gabriel, then some time later he came out with a clockwork device that fitted over the wing.
It took some time and some relearning but eventually Gabriel could fly. The device had been designed to bear the brunt of the flight work, ensuring the atrophied muscles wouldn't become overworked.
Although Gabriel is still skeptical at times, he knows that Data's brilliance is not to be taken lightly.
