He tries to figure out how to reach Sornieth's moon, because nobody can stop a little fae from dreaming


Lunar's biggest dream is to land on Sornieth's moon. Sure, no one on Sornieth has yet accomplished this, and, sure, it is probably dangerous and a really bad idea (who knows if the Shade might be hiding out up there), but he wants to at least try.

Ziva: "This is nice, sitting up in the canopy to watch the moon, just the two of us."

Lunar: "Yeah, I love it up here. I'm trying to built a stable platform so I can bring my telescope up here. I've always wanted to visit the moon. I know it probably sounds silly."

Ziva: "Really? I mean, I guess it's not something that everyone thinks about, but I can see the appeal. Soaring off into the vast unknown, as it were. Exploration. Daring. All of that."

Lunar: With an amused flick of his crest, "Naturally. Mostly I'm just really curious, though. Are there things up there? Moon plants and animals and things? Maybe even moon dragons? Would it still be that bright if you were standing on it? What's all the nothing between Sornieth and the moon? I don't think it's all air; if you fly too high, the air gets so thin that you can't breathe, so I think it runs out at some point. Would the Shade try to eat me if I found a way to travel there? There are so many things I don't know. From what I can see through the telescope, it looks so barren. But even if there's nothing there, just being able to stand on another world..."

Ziva: Watching as Lunar trails off in thought, "You don't sound too worried about the Shade."

Lunar: "I don't see much point in worrying about the Shade until all the other problems are solved. Like how to get there in the first place. How to transport our own air if we'll need it to breathe. The unknown isn't even something to be feared. It's just something to be discovered."
