"I don’t know, I’ve really been obsessed with sewing dollies lately. Something about how excited hatchlings are when their parents decide, spur of the moment, to pick one up for them. I’m definitely underselling them for the amount of work that they take, but the way their kids act is payment enough."

Dusklight’s affinity for thread is unparalleled and has produced endless blankets, tapestries, rugs, coats, toys, and potholders. She’s apt to fall in love frequently and with gusto, but there’s someone at home that she’s never been able to get off of her mind... Originally written by @Hyzenthlaay, lore shop here. Find more lore dragons for purchase there! (Record Dusk's experiences in your clan below!) January 25th, 2020 @Hyzenthlaay I knew exactly where he would be, despite the fact that I hadn’t been to Mavenlark in sixteen moons. Still working on that statue, still shooing away visitors. But he let me in. Our conversation was short, almost tepid. I need to stop coming back here. I made more from our visit in one sitting than I have in ages. He says that I should stick around to help him out on his work. I don’t think I can do that. I always find myself leaving. Maybe it’s a mistake. February 7th, 2020 @Caroo I didn’t know where I was going when I started flying, just that I wanted it to be far away. When I came upon a lightning clan filled with outcasts, I was intrigued. They noticed me as soon as I walked in, and while most welcomed me, others ignored me. While I didn’t want to stay long, I felt as though I had to at least get the attention of the few dragons ignoring me. One day I knew what I had to do. I sewed up a doll that looked exactly like the youngest outcast. As I watched the small Gaoler pick it up and smile, I knew I had finally gotten their attention. The next day, the outcasts adorned me with a hood to show their acceptance. It was then that I knew it was time to leave. July 3rd, 2020 @grxndsxn I had a long stay in this clan, even falling in love with Geoff, the Arcane rep of this clan. After he and I had hatchlings, I decided that it was time to go, but I enjoyed the time I spent. Maybe I'd come back someday. August 8th, 2020 @Franchesca The next clan I came upon was kind and allowed me to stay for a few weeks, but I knew that this was not a place for me. The time was short, however, it was a calm and caring clan and allowed time for me to relax. Once plied with food for travel, I set off again. September 9th, 2020 @Bugg My first trip to Hewn City was an interesting and complex one-- I found myself entranced by the many seers of the Failte Flight, and the clan's adoration for one another. They were truly a family, all set to discover the secrets that had lured them into the city. November 17th, 2020 @KnightOfAres I’ve wandered from place to place for many days and many nights, watched the sun rise and set and I’ve never felt more alive! Watched as the seasons passed and nature grow so beautifully! I’ve also seen some amazing lightning storms in The Shifting Expanse for the past few days while I stayed there for a few weeks. Met a few travelling dragons here as well! Bohemot was quite the interesting character! We settled ourselves around a campfire and told of our grand tales of adventure for hours! It was so much fun! June 17th, 2021 @LabyrinthianLost I thought I'd go crazy staying at that inn for so long! I got injured and was unable to fly, and I even lost my journal. It wasn't until a kind traveler returned it to me that I was able to write more entries, but I figured it'd only sour my mood more if I had to write down the same things every day. But no more lying around for me! I'm finally out and about again; first stop, Dragonhome. I was able to catch wind of a dig going on, where an entirely new dragon species was discovered. Talk about a successful dig, right? While I stayed in Cragenmire City, I met lots of other dragons alongside Goldenrod, who came with me here. Lavinia was kind enough to show me around the Cog District, which was teeming with all sorts of odd inventions and contraptions, and Oathbound was pretty dead-set on showing me the Dark District. However, I found a lot of enjoyment in the Hearth District. All kinds of fabrics and thread were being sold, and I just had to expand my stock, especially after so much of it was lost with my journal. That being said, I'm heading out soon, and hopefully won't end up at that inn again. I think I'll start prepping for more dolls before I leave, though. One can never be too prepared! |
After being caught by pirates, it's no wonder the people in town were so wary of a new face. Myself and an Imperial by the name of Celeste were caught by this band. Having been in the area for a while being encountering them, I had heard stories of dragons that used the fog to plunder and steal before returning to the sea.
What I hadn't been expecting, was for them to be as kind as they are. All of the stories made them out to be vicious killers who did as they pleased. In the end, they just look like a family doing what they can to support each other.
The two Wildclaws of their group, Moon and Mercury, kept a watch on me. It wasn't anything I wasn't used to, but they allowed more freedom than I had been expecting. I was able to make some dolls, and they put them in places that young dragons could find them and seek comfort.
In the time I've spent with these older Wildclaws, is that Moon was abandoned at some point, and was being auctioned off to serve some random deity. That was when a lot of pieces fell into place about the Fog Phantoms. They were trying to help others and themselves in the ways that they knew.
Uh-oh, looks like this sewer wandered a little too far from their home lair (452562, hyzenthlaay), and now they’re off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, we'd really appreciate it if you could just return them home, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here; or, if you don't want another traveling dragon at all, send them to this rest hub here. You can also adopt them permanently if you don’t want them leaving your lair - just contact hyzenthlaay and let her know!
Many people have worked very hard on this traveling dragon, and exalting them would be an absolute shame. Please don’t do it.
