Biography

Valdez, the Firetouch
'P-Please don't come near... I'm very busy you see, very busy, very busy indeed.'

Biography:

Position Under Clan Hierarchy: Blacksmith's Assistant, Fire Stoker

Personality: Nervous, Fidgety, Scatterbrained, Touchy, Pacifist, Twitchy, Task-Oriented

Alignment: Lawful Good

Marital Status: Mate to Circe, The Forger

His Story:

Valdez is a peculiar fellow to say the least. His origins and arrival to the Nerada clan is something of a mystery. Some of the younger dragons say he's always been there, seamlessly blended in into the background, and others claim that Circe left one day and returned with a dragon, and no-one thought twice of it. He's a fairly young fellow, but his inclination towards fire magic makes him a useful companion to the clan Blacksmith. When he's not absorbed in the forge, he can be found tending to the various fireplaces around the clan hold. Valdez is a meticulous drake, to the point where even candles have to be monitored by the Wildclaw.

Compared to his outgoing mate, Valdez is meek and non-confrontational. He keeps to himself, and whenever he's addressed - even by the Ridgeback forger - he leaps a mile high from fright. Hatchlings usually like to take advantage of the Wildclaw's nervous nature, and are usually found scheming on how to prank the poor dragon and get away with it. Older dragons typically see him as unapproachable and difficult, so they stray from his path, but he's made one very unlikely friend in the clan - Runedrifter, Circe's first mate.

Runedrifter was very in love with Circe when he was younger, and Circe couldn't find it in her heart to reject the young Spiral outright. They nested once, and had Argenta, a Ridgeback girl. It was an awkward partnership, and quick to dissolve. Argenta left to serve the Windsinger when she came of age, and Runedrifter and Circe ended their relationship there.
Runedrifter was lost for a while, but became a changed drake when he met Aferdita, his true mate. Circe is now partnered with Valdez, and all is well. Valdez and Runedrifter, however, are quite good friends. They are often found putting their differences aside and indulging in a game of chess, much to the relief of their mates.

Despite his odd personality, Valdez is quite attached to Circe, and once his substansial breeding cool down finishes, he always proves himself to be a dedicated mate and father, if a little overanxious.
