The Queen of Nitche could no longer answer the questions the dragons of the kingdom asked. One day a fae was declared blind, she couldn't see. But she could see the past, present, and future. She could help solve problems. Amazed by this discovery, the first queen of Niche named her the Pathfinder. Anyone who wanted to ask a question, they may ask it to her if the queen cannot answer
The Pathfinder may only breed with a male fae and her first daughter that is blind will take on the path of the Pathfinder. Once she has grown up, the previous Pathfinder will disappear into mist and the father and siblings will be exalted. The new Pathfinder does not have a family nor knows that she did. The Pathfinder must be female and live in a Hollow Tree that their previous Pathfinder's slept in.
Each Pathfinder must wear the same apparel as the previous. Everything is passed down to the new Pathfinder. This has spread throughout all kingdoms, especially the Arcane kingdoms.

A long with the clothes, the Ancient Fungus of Pathfinders is passed down. This fungus will never die.
It was said that the first Pathfinder picked a mushroom from the hollow tree she lived in. It came to life and was"Her eyes"
It grows older overtime the previous Pathfinder disappears, but will never die...
