Biography

. Like many Wildclaws, violence is a way of life for Kali. Raised more traditionally than most of the Wildclaws of Morcsbury, she can seem almost feral to dragons not familiar with her. Her body language is a calulated casualness, her mood can snap from playful to severe at the drop of a hat, she is more likely to shriek and bite rather than berate with words. In short, it’s easy to see her and catch a small glimpse of the primal beginnings of dragons. But she’s no wild animal. She sits comfortably at the top of Morcsbury's food chain, only subservient to dragons with official positions in the mansion. Secure in her position, she's often found lazing around the many mess halls in the hill, challenging dragons that catch her eye and passing off assignments to whoever's unlucky enough to be passing by ______notes. . »x role // mercenary »x pronouns // she / her »x traits // fierce; daring; chaotic ______relations. . »x friend // kambu | __ |

Like many Wildclaws, violence is a way of life for Kali. Raised more traditionally than most of the Wildclaws of Morcsbury, she can seem almost feral to dragons not familiar with her. Her body language is wild, her mood can snap from playful to deadly at the drop of a hat, she is more likely to shriek and bite rather than warn away with words. In short, it’s easy to see her and catch a small glimpse of the primal beginnings of dragons. But she’s no wild animal. Kali left her pack young, carrying with her only the few ornaments that were common wear among her people. It wasn’t as if she didn’t love her pack and her family, but she felt unfulfilled participating in the hunts and living day to day in a small village only a few hundred strong. Kali wanted to be a part of something bigger, wanted to find a greater purpose than just following what the dragons before her had done for ages. The world was large and full of opportunities for a dragon willing to seize them. It was a bit of a culture shock when she entered her first big city, but Kali quickly found where she fit in – once she figured out what was and wasn’t appropriate to wear. High society wanted nothing to do with a ruffian such as herself, but dragons that had coin and something worth protecting, they sought dragons like her every night. She could hardly believe that she could earn a living just by standing around and snarling at unwelcome dragons. The cushioned life had to end eventually. A single mistake landed her on the wrong side of the law, and she fled the town with its lights and distractions. Still without the purpose she sought, she travelled aimlessly through the dark forests, avoiding lone travelers like herself and eavesdropping on the ones with a companion to speak to. Finding Morcsbury was actually a stroke of fortune, though Kali may not actually appreciate it as much as she should. Normally the hill is near impossible to find for the ones seeking it, but the Wildclaw wasn’t even aware of the crime syndicate, much less their base of operations. Knocking on the hidden door to the underground mansion, she’d actually expected to find a hermit living in the woods who she might be able to procure a bed form for the night. Instead, she found that purpose she’d been looking for. Morcsbury housed an operation beyond the scope of her understanding at the time, and to be part of it was too good a chance to pass up. Bryght, the dragon that opened the door to her, offered her a job as one of the mercenaries on Dumorc’s payroll (after the long and arduous interrogation that preceded her offer). Kali said yes immediately, and she was thrown job after job for the next few years. There was hardly a moment of rest before she was sent on her next assignment, often receiving word while on the job that she had someone else to kill or a dragon to shake down. She worked her way up the food chain every chance she got. She attacked dragons that shoved her in the halls. She growled at those that dare sit too close to her. She choked the dragons that got food before she did when there were new servings to go around. This was the way things worked in her pack, and soon, it was the way things worked in the canteen too. Her hard work paid off as well. Now secure in her place as the best of the mercenaries in the hill, only the most entertaining assignments come her way. Any other ones, she delegates to the dragons under her, who don’t dare refuse her orders. | ______________ |
