Sif was the victim of a common, yet no less heartbreaking, tragedy: they had died in their egg, mere days before they were supposed to hatch. They were a light that never got to shine, a fire that never got to ignite, a soul that never got to live. But all was not lost. The Deities took pity on them, as they had many, many others, and granted them a new purpose: they were to become a Reaper, tasked with guiding souls safely to the afterlife - a job they graciously and humbly accepted. For years they worked diligently and tirelessly, grateful for this not-life, for this sort of second-chance. They never faltered or fumbled, they never missed a soul. That is, until they were yanked from the comfort and safety of the Veil, back to the land of the living, by a young prince from their home Clan who was messing with things he shouldn't have.

Thus was the catastrophic start of Sif and Andii's friendship, the Reaper tied to the Necromancer by a binding spell. They got better with time, though, especially since Andii figured out how to let Sif reenter the Veil so that they may continue their gifted purpose and return when the binding spell called them home.

Sif has an on-again, off-again relationship with Octavia, Andii's sister.
