"Quote."
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━«
Harbinger wasn't nearly so skittish as a child as he is now. The harsh realities of life had yet to settle into his small body. The fae was born in the land of plague where most believe only bad things happen as for Harbinger, it seemed like only the bad things happened.

His gift started out small, being able to predict when a nasty storm would roll around or when something in his former home would break. Naturally his parents notices how his discomfort would co-inside with these happenings and instantly he knew he was different. Something special that could be honed into usefulness.

Naturally the young pair told the higher ups in their clan about their son's gift of being able to predict the future and it granted them a special place in the clan. The closest thing to royalty, bodyguards were assigned to the family of fae and Harbinger's training started. At first it was just literary and typical school things, he didn't under stand why.

"The visions just come, I have no control of them." he tried to explain several times in many ways, but no one listened. Naturally, his future sight ability was used to try and see all the good that would befall the clan and what dangers they could prepare for. However, the ones in charge of Harbinger's 'prophet hearings' would become irritated when the predictions couldn't be practically forced from him.

No one was aware how much stress what put on the young boy, and how distressed some of the bad sights he saw put him in. The whole situation put an immense stress on him as a person, his ability to trust was next to none. He would seek refuge with his parents, to find some love and attention only to be shoo-ed away in favor of their new borns.

Then, eventually it came. The scene of the clan's future he had preyed he would never see. It terrified him to the bone, so much so he ended up vomiting into a cauldron and trembling in pure terror. Naturally the male leader of the clan asked to see the boy immediately, demanding to know what he could've seen to get him to such a state.

"There all gonna die." Harbinger said flatly, his tired eyes meeting the kings. The only man just looked at him bewildered, clearly not believing what the young fae had said. Surely a boy couldn't be...

"If you leave on your trip tomorrow, everyone here will die." Harbinger repeated stuttering as his stomach threatened to twist into his thorat even further. The older male scoffed and turned his back on the young fae, choosing not to believe just another truth he didn't want to hear and sure enough. What the boy had seen, happened.

A band of bandits came through when most didn't expect, late afternoon after dinner had been started. They too everything they could find, even lives. Harbinger hid in the deepest, darkest part of the flesh and rock den that the clan inhabited. Not daring to disclose his hiding spot until everything fell silent. It seems fate yet again laughed as the young fae had emerged, just the leader had returned.

Harbinger had been caught marveling at the destruction around him, the king barking at him to get his attention. The fae could see all the emotion in the older male's eyes. Guilt, disbelief, despair...hate.

"I told you." Harbinger's words were nearly that of a broken whisper as tears ran down his face. It was the leader's fault this had happened, all his fault. Now he has to deal with the damage he caused. The older dragon didn't take to kindly to the statement and lashed out at the young fae, scratching his face and neck. Slamming his head into the floor before one of his guards stopped him and let Harbinger escape.

The fae traveled alone a long time after that, hoping some part of his vision had been wrong. Hoping a few had listened to the 'rumor' and hid themselves that day. There are more visions to be anxious over now. FInding the TImeless Grove was pure chance and the fae hoped that his visions would lessen here, but time still goes on. Both inside the grove and out and visions still haunt him.
