Barnum

Barnum is a creature of eternal energy. Always moving, always talking, running where other dragons would walk, he's always in motion. He's a fast talker and a dreamer, with enough charisma to draw other dragons into his orbit and make them go along with whatever crazy scheme he's thought up this time.

Under all the flash and fast-talking he's got a genuinely good heart; his best friend and playmate growing up was a mutated Bogsneak named Lovely. She taught him invaluable lessons about looking past the surface to the soul within... and that not every dragon knows how to do the same. Barnum uses this awareness to seek out and befriend the outcasts in any crowd, the ones society pushes to the fringes through no fault of their own. He has dreams to form his own troupe of performers travelling the land and offering an alternative to dragons wanting to escape their own lot in life.

He may not be the most handsome of dragons- his grandmother once ruefully commented that 'frosted ugly' tends to be a trait of his great-grandmother's line- but the giant heart that shines out from his eyes makes him beautiful to those who manage to see past his colors and patterns.

His parents hope he never loses the sparkle that makes him who he is.
