Biography
Clayton was one of the many dragons told of who got lost wandering the Abiding Boneyard. He remembers little of his time there or his life before, all a blur - a blur that ended with pain and darkness.
He awoke at the border of the Scarred Wasteland, near the edge of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. Had he been trying to reach water? He was suffering a terrible thirst, and his whole body felt strangely hot and sore... He slowly became aware of a strange green coatl hovering nearby, seemingly examining him, and an odd crackling grizzly bear snuffling around the shore.
Nephrite looked down at the semi-conscious guardian dragon laboring to breathe below him. The very plagues and viruses of his homeland had begun to turn on him and eat away his flesh. It took every bit of Nephrite's medical and biological knowledge to keep Clayton alive, to bring him home to the lair and to begin to rebuild him. It was a miracle, really, that Nephrite himself didn't succumb to the vile infections festering throughout Clayton's body.
In the end, so much was cut away, and so much was replaced with and reinforced with metals and machinery that Clayton is barely a dragon anymore. His mind remains, though it is a bit scrambled. He is devoutly loyal to Nephrite for giving him new life, and also terribly possessive, almost as though he has claimed him as his charge. For this reason, Clayton and Nephrite's assistant, Coco, often butt heads.
Clayton has developed an odd habit of adorning his mostly-metal body with feathers, as though trying to reclaim some part of the organic self he had lost.
