Crowfeather's past is largely a mystery. Raised in the Crow Hunters covenant, Crowfeather took her name from a lifestyle she swore to emulate.

Crowfeather embodies her covenant soundly; she is strong, resilient to the seduction of the hunt, and merciful when taking a comrade's life. When additional guards are enlisted into the Matriarch's service, they must all pass a combat trial given by the dedicated Hunter of Hunters as weakness, no matter its shape or form, cannot be tolerated.

Her independent and aggressive demeanor, however, is merely the result of her professional lifestyle. She has taught compassion and love to her mate, and her children are all masters in their own ways.
