Houre works in the underwater city and researches rare illnesses. His base is in the ruins of what the archeologists believe to have been an ancient hospital. It's now a quarantine zone only Houre is allowed to enter. Some believe the Imperial is an Undead, but confronted with those rumours, Houre will simply laugh his rattling laugh and continue with what he was doing.

He doesn't often spend his time on things that don't have anything to do with his field of work. Houre gets up early, goes to bed late, and is rarely seen eating anything at all (which feeds into the Undead rumours). Most dragons living above the ocean's surface wouldn't even know of his existence if he didn't take up Vaidyaru's doctor duties from time to time when the other is away. He rarely gets any patients though because he terrifies them more than Vaidyaru and Zjawa do together.

Houre doesn't care much about what others think of him, but he's glad that the council lets him stay in Thonis and continue his research. He travelled to the underwater city because word went around that germs from eons ago were found preserved in the ruins of the hospital. He enjoys high appraisal by the council as he wasn't just able to classify the pathogens, but later managed to develop a cure for an epidemy that ravaged the clan, and saved many dragons' lives with it. Houre simply wants to use his knowledge and skills to their full capacity - for better or for worse.
