Biography
PM @SilverFoxDemon if you'd like to buy the accent as well!
Ancanno is a special kind of beauty, standing out in the clan of Kaiana. Nitesh himself isn't sure he's seen such a dragon since so many centuries ago when the clan first settled in the Starfall Isles as a small sister tribe; he wears his magical abilities on his sleeve, his brilliant magenta eyes hiding nothing. Though his colors were darker, perhaps more reflecting the Shadow dragons, there was no contest; Ancanno was the best.
Of course, those were his own words; he was vain, and ambitious in his quest for more power over magic. His studies had began with crystals--he was fascinated by their properties, and how even crystals of the same type held different powers depending on the gem itself. In the beginning, he used them for spiritual healing, as was common. Then he advanced to physical healing, the crystals bonding to their host and spreading, healing wounds and leaving beautiful, crystalline scars behind. As his lust for power grew, the crystals became corrupted, trapping parts of him in them when he took hold of them.
Upon discovering this, he wrote his notes in his books, intrigued but weakened. He travelled far from home, his crystals kept in a satchel he never allowed to touch his scales again, and his pearl was kept safely in its own pouch. He traveled for many years, gathering knowledge on other types of magic, such as herbal magicks and then more complicated ones that could control the energies of Sornieth itself, though he was careful to avoid tempting fate more than he already had. His tomes filled with the knowledge he gained, and at last, he found himself staring up at the floating gardens of Kaiana, amazed with the sheer feat of magic. To make an object float is child's play; but an entire clan, and to keep it afloat indefinitely? He was determined to learn more. To find that crystals and a princess' energies were the cause of the feat, along with gardeners and an experimentalist at best, Ancanno was astonished. This clan had many stories to tell, he could feel it in the air, the energies weighing on him and making the otherwise dormant crystals sing to life, glowing from within their satchel.
He is viewed as somewhat mad; his fellow clanmembers have discovered him talking to his crystals as if they were alive, and have witnessed his outbursts of inspiration, some of his which resulted in dangerous consequences. Yet it was nothing the clan hadn't seen before, and the Arcane dragon was allowed to continue his studies, so long as he kept potentially explosive ones on the ground below the clan instead of in the midst of it. His tomes of knowledge are welcome additions to the library of documents that Kaimae keeps, and the occasional helpful potion has been known to make its way from his lair. Through his time in Kaiana, his pearl grows larger and larger, at a somewhat alarming rate; it would seem the Pearlcatcher had experienced much, and yet some part of him was certainly missing.
