I.
Her paw shook as she lifted the quill to the paper. Tiny black spots like inverted stars dotted the parchment.
Why was it so difficult to write about it all these years later? It was just a memory of a memory, of the last clan leader's light being torn free from their chest by a Ravager.
The ripping sounds and the scent of blood -- the golden globe of light vanishing down a dark gullet -- it should've spilled easily onto the page. Here, thousands of leagues away and tucked in the shade of the Behemoth, these things no longer had the power to hurt.
TigerEye bowed her head to the desk and closed her eyes.

II.
To call TIgerEye a reluctant leader does her a disservice.
She was thrust into the role when the clan's previous leader fell to the tide of darkness, the Ravagers.
When the blood and dust settled, and the Ravagers melted like snow back into the earth's crevices, the entire clan looked to the calm, placid Skydancer.
Though she showed no fear, inside she trembled.
It was she who moved the clan from the foothills of the Observatory deep into the shadowed coppices of the Viridian Labyrinth.
And it was she who sat up every night, struggling to find the words to record the horrors she had seen.
As the lanterns of her study flickered out, her own pale-blue soul-glow began to shine.
She dipped the quill in ink, and because she was the leader -- stern and unyielding -- she began again.

Leadership
There aren't many who remember what havoc the Ravagers caused. Now they lead the clan and protect the knowledge that will keep them safe.

TIGEREYE • lorekeeper
TigerEye remembers. It is her duty to remember and record their history, such that none of the horror they faced is forgotten

MOONSTONE • healer
Moonstone keeps the hatchlings and watches over the clan, keeping them healthy. She cares greatly for the clan at large.

CREAMBEAN • knight-captain
She, too, remembers what happened Before. Though she knows her job is meant for a guardian, she desires to make sure that the clan is prepared, such that no attack like the one that devastated them before befalls them.

Knights
Not everyone who trained under Creambean went to serve the Gladekeeper. Some chose to stay. To learn. To protect the clan, and assist Creambean with her duty. These are her knights.

RYDER • knight
Ryder likes to look tough and cool, but truth be told he's happy to be here. Kind and gentle, he is one of the few trusted to train alone, like Creambean before him.

Magic
Charged with all Magical persuits, the alchemist and witch work together on all arcane matters.

WYNN • alchemist
Grumpy and not altoghether personable, Wynn is fine with the rumors that the hatchlings tell each other to scare one another... not that that ever stopped some of them.

JEZEBEL • witch
Who the hatchlings dubbed "The Good Witch", Jezebel delights in friendly little tricks she plays on others.

Progenitors
The leaders of the original clan that fell to the Ravagers. They had been assumed dead until only recently, when they reemerged to find their old clan thriving with new members. They are retired elders, now, and do not worry about clan matters except when approached for advice.

Gentle old lady who is just here to tell recount stories to Tigereye as she needs reminding of the past.

KETCHUP • progen
Playful old man who refers to everyone as his grandchild, whether related or not. Loves his wife.
