Biography

Axon
Professor of Entomology

Cricket Giant Darner Leaf Beetle

For years, Axon's main role was simply catching bugs and eating them, but now he has seen the light - studying bugs is also fun!! He has a natural inclination towards practical jokes and terrible puns, but these days finds more joy in teaching younger dragons about cool bugs, along with his wife Sclerenchyma. This has not stopped him tormenting Xylem (with love!!) on a daily basis <3 he once stopped pranking her for a whole month, long ago in the mists of time, and she began complaining of boredom, so.

Notes:

-basic boy forever......
-trickster
-causes problems on purpose

Axon is pretty large for a Fae, which is useful when you're living with the biggest types of dragon. Xylem and Autumn tend to see him before they step on him, at the very least.

As for his contribution to the clan, Axon hunts insects. It's his Thing. He's still learning, but he's already developed an excellent knowledge for which bugs are most nutritious, where you can find the biggest bugs for minimal effort, which rocks are most likely to yield the most bugs etc etc. While few dragons here eat insects, they are used by almost everyone for various tasks - as alchemy or spell ingredients, as natural medicines, as bait, and some may even be squashed to obtain pigments.

Axon is only here for two reasons:
1 - Xylem builds great lairs - she knows exactly where the bamboo pillars need to go to hold up the roof, and 2 - He'll never be bored when he's around the baby Imperials. They're all very endearing idiots. On a slow day Axon will charge his Zeeba familiar, Lamellae, along the corridors of the lair, scoring himself points for every Imperial tail he jumps over, and every irritated snap he manages to avoid.
