Ever since Natalie was old enough to spread her wings, she dreamed of the colourful skies that lay beyond the icy Fortress of Ends. Sure, she loved reciting ancient poetry and swimming in freezing canals, catching tiny minnows with her sisters, but the ever-present wonder of what lay beyond the horizon itched at her.

But if there was one thing Natalie loved more than daydreaming, it was fashion. She was in awe of all the beautiful Coatls around her and longed for just one, glorious day where she could dress in their elegant, lacy regalia. After months of begging her mother to teach her to sew, Natalie clumsily began to sew their traditional lacy garments. After several years, she'd almost learnt the patterns off by heart, delicately crafting each apparel piece with upmost care.

After the passing of years, a small opportunity was erupting. She overheard her mother's whispering about her hatchlings possibly moving clans. Natalie's heart skipped a beat; she was finally going to see the world outside of her home!

Naturally. she was the first to leave. Her heart raced as she climbed the highest peak, escorted by a guide and her two sisters, Serenia and Clove, who were delighted at her ecstatic wishes but upset to see her go. Natalie bid her sisters and the guide farewell and leapt into the morning dawn, wondering where the wind would take her.

Let's just say that Natalie didn't adjust to her new clan overnight. After landing in an floral heath, exhausted after circling for hours for a gap in the tangled, overgrown woodland, another dragon swiftly pounced on her. Natalie was instantly knocked to the ground, not remembering any of her brief survival fight training. Looking up, she got her first glance of the attacker. She was a Coatl, for sure, but unlike any Natalie'd ever seen before. She didn't bare any decorative sashes, laces or anything, but rather two tight leather gloves a crossbow, a quiver of arrows slung around her other shoulder.

And that was how the elegant Coatl of ice joined Iki's nature clan. It was difficult for her at first, with the ever-constant humidity following her like a shackle. She missed her sisters and her friends and found it difficult to fit in with the nature-goers. Unlike her old clan's faithful practices towards the Icewarden, this new clan seemed detached from even the Gladekeeper, mostly going about their own businesses. They certainly didn't care for politics, and even less for fashion.

An idea was brewing in Natalie's mind as she got laid out her threads and needles under a canopy of bromeliads and florals alike and got to work, sewing beautiful creations just like the dragons back home. However, it wasn't long before the young scholar Jay bashfully approached her, asking if she could possibly sew him new robes clutching a small bag of treasure. From there, Natalie became the shining star of her clan, crafting beautiful pieces of apparel for all to wear, from the youngest hatchling to grumpy Beserker.

However, there was one dragon who always shied away from her work, turning up his nose at all the other dragon's new garbs. It got to a point where Natalie eventually secretly followed him out to a small stream where she first got to see him eye-to-eye.She slowly started to ramble on about anything that came to mind, before the dragon finally opened up. Watcher, as he was called, had moved flights twice before and lost his parents, mate and only child in the process. Natalie never expected to fall in love with this stoic outsider, yet love crept slowly inside her, slamming on her heartstrings like the keys of a discordant grand piano. Parenthood was something Natalie had never learnt in the Fortress of Ends, and under the shade of the mangrove tree she watched her children play and learn.
