Drayth was born to a once-wealthy family of Skydancers, whose fortune was lost in a deal gone wrong with a clan of Spiral criminals. Debts were owed to the Spirals, and Drayth’s family had no choice but to marry off their only daughter, the sole heir to the Skydancer fortune, to the Spirals’ arrogant, loud-mouthed son. Drayth was the product of this union, which after several years, became a happy marriage. Drayth’s mother, Mythic, was happy to no longer have the burdens of an elite life, always in the spotlight and under her family’s scrutiny; Drayth’s father, Izumo, was glad to finally have a friend in Mythic, after a lonely childhood surrounded by guards protecting the gang leader's child.

Drayth grew up with two very much in-love parents, but their pasts caught up to them quickly. Izumo’s family was overthrown by a rival gang, and for fear of their son’s safety, Mythic and Izumo were forced to send their son away. Initially Drayth turned to his maternal family, but they considered him an embarrassment and a reminder of their family’s shame- with nowhere else to turn, Drayth wandered until he eventually made his way to the Carrion Canyon, where he joined a ragtag clan of dragons from all walks of life with one thing in common: they had nowhere else to turn.

It was there that Drayth assumed his position of postmaster, a job he takes seriously and cherishes everyday; if it weren’t for his new clan, Drayth isn’t sure where he’d be. He loves his clan, he loves his job, and most of all, he loves his new family, who took him in and supported him when he was in need, and helped him become the dragon he is today.
