Azuri is Ellewyn and Orrick's son. He was born in a shallow reef to two doting parents, whose bright colors he inherited. What he also unfortunately inherited was his father Ellewyn's weak swimming skills. However, where Ellie's troubles stem from his small fins, Azuri's issue stems from a disorder called chronic fatigue syndrome.
Azuri's small body tires very easily and he is unable to swim for very long or fight strong currents. He tends to wrap his tail around objects or loved ones so he doesn't get swept out to sea by a stray tide. Posea, Azuri's boyfriend, is often subject to Azuri tangling himself around him to keep steady. Azuri would like to see the world someday and even though his condition makes it difficult and dangerous for him to swim long distances, he's not going to let that stop him.
