Phestyus

The heir of Hephestia and Fiery Banana. Of his two siblings, Phestyus was chosen as the next leader of the clan.

Growing up, Phestyus was close with his sister Priya-the other candidate for taking the title of matriarch/patriarch. While she was kind and popular with the clan, he kept to himself and the shadows. He had resigned himself to a lesser role than his beloved sister. When the day came that she was adorned in shining copper-the clan's trademark-and trained, he watched and waited for her to be announced the next matriarch. It was a shock to all when their mother declared that Priya would be exalted to represent the clan before the Lightweaver. He watched with horror as Priya resigned herself to her fate, not arguing but obviously shocked. She then became the first to wear the exaltation copper.

Since that day, Phestyus was never the same. He became even more withdrawn. He began to exhibit a cruel demeanor and short temper. All in the clan fear for the time when he becomes patriarch. Hephestia and her mate do not seem to notice this concern-overlooking their son in favor of dealing with other matters.

During the August dominance battle with Shadow flight, a Shadow hatchling was obtained as a sign of good will and pride. She was to integrate with the matriarch's bloodline, producing Light hatchlings-showing that shadows melt away in the brilliance of light. She was given to Phestyus as his mate. He does not seem to care much for her, but tolerates her more than other dragons.

He awaits his time to take leadership of the clan and use it to obtain his own selfish needs.
