Serafina looked upon the horizon from the clifftops of Terraclae, Cayenne lying beside her. He ran his claws over his pearl, wondering just how many of these memories came from the Zephyr Steppes. How many, he wondered, Came from our old watchtower?

Instinctively, Serafina adjusted her posture to match his.

"I should have seen the storm coming," she sighed, "Should have bolstered our clan's structures sooner, should have -"

"That's enough," Cayenne interjected, "I'm not letting our best mage blame herself. Tell me, what do you see on the horizon?"

Serafina shook her head, then turned her gaze to the stars.

The glittering trail of a shooting star crested the night sky.

"...I see the future."
