B I O G R A P H Y
Li Shen spent the majority of her early life in the metropolis of Edoran in the Molten Scar. Originally from the Viridian Labyrinth, her parents sent her and her siblings away to boarding schools. Li Shen attended the Edoran School of Economy, which the city was renowned for, but the boring lectures and copious amounts of mathematics dulled the brain of the imaginative youth. She often found herself daydreaming about places and adventures outside the city walls. Each weekend she and her friends from school would lose their itchy uniforms in exchange for more casual attire and gawk and marvel at the treasures in the traveling market. From her first visit, Li Shen's favorite stand was the florist's. Colorful bouquets of roses always made the dry city seem drier. And the scent, fresher than crisp water or lady's perfume. Li Shen was jealous of their exoticism and often wondered how far they had traveled to come to a dead place such as this.

B I O G R A P H Y
It was during one of her class field trips where Li Shen was separated from her friends while wandering one of the trails of a nearby mountain. Not that she was scared. In reality, the young dragon was quite content to have an opportunity to explore on her own. She wandered the trails at her own pace, stopping now and again to observe the wildlife and record it in her sketchbook. She did not realize how far she had journeyed from the trail until nightfall. Li Shen began to panic. What if she starved to death? What if a beast clan found her and caught her? Without a draft in the sky, she could barely fly above the mountains. Besides herself with grief, the fledgling began to cry pitiful tears. Fortunately for her, two Pearlcatcher scouts from a neighboring clan happened to be wandering this area of the Molten Scar. Ranna and Mercedes found Li Shen before the sun had gone, but were unsure what to do about the lost dragon. Mercedes vouched to leave the hatchling, for their clan was already cramped with their own family. Ranna, while the more merciful of the two, then suggested that they bring her back to where she'd come. Li Shen, though she was scared, saw an opportunity to break free. She graciously thanked her rescuers with a peck on their cheeks, knowing that her saliva would turn their minds, for her belly is filled with a strange substance, one that even she does not fully understand.

B I O G R A P H Y
Fully convinced that the fledgling belonged with their clan, the Pearlcatcher sisters brought Li Shen to their lair. Regardless of what Li Shen's magic did to their minds, the girls' mother, a lovely Skydancer by the name of Aster, immediately fell in love with the young dragon and took her into her home. Aster's mate Regulus was apprehensive about the outsider, but in time, he accepted her into his home, especially when Li Shen told them about her life in the Clan of Red Skies, a place Regulus had visited years before. Li Shen wrote home to her parents, months later, explaining the entire situation, and why they had received notices that their daughter was missing from school. While upset that their daughter missed so many of her lessons, they could tell that she was happy in the humble lair. They made a deal with their daughter: Li Shen would finish academy on an accelerated track and in exchange she would be allowed to make her home with her newfound family. She knew she would not receive a better offer, so Li Shen returned to Edoran, but it was only a few more months until she returned to her home and set up shop in the lair. While at school, she had decided to take biology electives out of her interest for plants and how to care for them. In her home, she started the clan's very first vegetable and flower garden. While her home was dead and dry, there was still a variety of plants that flourished in the red soil, and Li Shen grew them all. Tulips, Catsup, Sweet Grass, and Ruffage were just a few of her favorites. And, the lovely dragoness tending the lovely flowers did not go long before being noticed by some of the drakes of the lair. A close childhood friend of hers, and Aster and Regulus' son, Alecor, finally confessed his feelings for Li Shen in the spring. While the young draika felt that she still had a full life to live before she settled down, Alecor respects her and has agreed to be patient.
