On the first day of summer, something mystifying happened. The scouting parties went out at dawn, and three different scouting parties came back with young imperials. She must have been the only one that knew. In a field of brilliantly blue flowers, her voice was the only sound to ring out over the land. The wails were so overwhelming and loud. It was as if the everything around her was silenced and they took to listening feverishly to her sadness. When the southern scouts found her, she wouldn't allow anyone to pick her up. Delphinium kicked, bit, flailed from any dragons that attempted to pick her up, as if knowing that she was abandoned and yearned for her family, knowing that the scouts were not them.

Instead of being brought to the clan, a dragon had to go to her. Hypnos was dragged out of her sleep, groggy and snappy, but her sweet, soothing songs were able to put the young dragon to rest in a matter of minutes. With that, Hypnos flew back and dumped her onto the first dragon she saw, which happened to be the tiny Calypso, and promptly returned to her lair to sleep until noon.
