Biography
Abandoned alongside Eczema at birth, Israphel barely survived growing up in the plaguelands. A dying Serthis left her her bone-handled knife, with the last request that she be buried with honors according to the rituals of her people, which in her case included a mercy killing. The two grew up together as traveling exalters for hire, with Israphel handling the messy work of the humane kill, both helping with burial preparation and last rites, ensuring the exalted died with honor, and Eczema working out the legal fine print as to where the treasure fund should be delivered. The two became known in common wasteland parlance as “angels of contagion,” when spoken of positively, or “vultures” at worst. They have journeyed throughout Sornieth and ended many a life in this way, and were seeking similar work in Rivulet when Arnya informed them they could stay regardless of exaltation, as they were strictly a non-exalting clan, and employed them in other jobs. Israphel is now a hunter, but it bores her, and though she’d never harm a soul without instruction or good enough reason, she wishes she could ensure someone an honorable death again.
Her cloak is made of tanned landhide. It was very expensive but it is very fine.
