Yahel was brought into the world the way most exit, in darkness. He quickly became accustomed to his dark existence, but it brought him sorrow to hear the other dragons talk about all their fun. All he saw was darkness and all he felt was darkness. Until she brought light, with her voice of honey. She overtook Yahel like wine over the sense, like thick fog over a hill. She was like a drug, all consuming and controlling. Yahel, having removed his rose colored glasses, realized that she was toxic. He decided that he had to leave her. He was no longer blinded by her sweet words. She was a predator, hungering for his vulnerability. She was a fire, inviting, but devouring. Yahel pulled himself away from her. He felt free, like a caged song bird escaping. Yet, he was filled with loneliness. His escape felt bittersweet. Then Yahel met Karobi. She sounded like sunshine breaking through the clouds on a rainy day. Her words were like warm tea after an exhausting day. Yahel wanted to withdraw from her, he wanted to keep his distance, but she was different from the other, he could feel it. The other was a wolf in sheep's clothing and Karobi was a soft lamb. He allowed himself to get close to her, but he kept himself distant. Karobi understood and still loved him despite his distance. Eventually, Yahel was able to trust Karobi. The song bird had found his mate. He had found a sweet voice to duet with.
