Tamati, the roaring deep; Tamati, the flood. Once, they say, his charge was the unbridled ferocity of the sea.

Now, they watch him from afar and wonder, wonder, wonder what it is he thinks of his change, of his new form. He still bides close to the sea, but he never was one to talk much.

 Tamati's arrival at the Cathedral was unorthodox, to say the least. With eyes that said he was of the Lightweaver's brood, how was it he had arrived to them by sea? But that was precisely what happened; he washed up along the shores below the Cathedral's perch and was found by its inhabitants whom had come looking for fish.

He was a guardian, then, and in alright health; he couldn't tell when he had come from, other than the sea. Some believed him to be from the Tidelord's brood, but his eyes quickly put an end to that debate; nevertheless, Tamati never discussed such things himself, often returning to sit along the shoreline or dive into the sea.

At one point, an alchemical mishap turned him into a Gaoler; he didn't say much of the matter then, either, and resumed sitting along the shore to look out at the sea. Upon learning of the mishap, Loatheb, his mate, demanded the same be done to her. After she too was a Gaoler, they sit on the shoreline together with their tails entwined, not speaking.
