______ 'She is an ambitious Goddess’ Boliax mused as he rolled up the expensive parchment. He had only just returned from a successful mission and it seems as though he is to be sent out once again. His beloved mate Aquila will not be happy, but Boliax knew that deep down she was a proud Imperial who enjoyed the privileges his role offered her.

______ Ever since the mysterious surge in Elemental power, the Lightweaver has been keen to bolster its defences, no matter how old and forgotten. The Light Flight wasn’t the only element to gain masses of power, meaning that Light’s enemies may be keen to flex their newfound strength.

______ The newest task set for the Royal Knight was simple enough; travel to the ancient outpost, dispose of any unsavoury creatures that may be there, and make it ready for the incoming settlers. Boliax was almost getting tired of the monotony of these missions. The worst he had come across was a pack of roving Plague Mirrors that had wandered too far from their homeland. Nothing had compared to his battalion’s strength and strategy.

______ “Aureate Isle….” Boliax mumbled as he unrolled a much larger, worn map scroll on the desk in front of him. According to the mission report, the island was located off of the South Western coast of the Sunbeam Ruins. However, as Boliax scanned the sea of the map, he saw only empty blueness and painted waves. The dragon furrowed his brow. It was not unusual for the names of overgrown ruins to become forgotten to the map painters, but an entire island? A land mass so close to the mainland should surely appear on any common map of the Light Territory. Boliax felt a pang of uneasiness in his stomach. Clearly the scholars know about this place, otherwise he would not be tasked to go there. So why wasn’t its whereabouts made clear to the rest of the Light flight?

______ Boliax shook himself from his pondering, realising that he was wasting precious hours that could be spent with Aquila. He would have to set off at early light next morning if he were to reach the Isle before nightfall. It may be some time before he saw his home again.
