Biography
The Beginning
In the beginning, the world was pure Chaos; only the fog of the ether could be seen. From the mass of Chaos emerged the Sun, the first light to break the fog and establish Order.
As one can imagine, it was quite lonely. The Sun wanted nothing more than to have a companion. And so, the Moon emerged.
Things got stale with only two.
Things also got unstable.
Chaos and Order were still unbalanced, with the ether taking up much of the world at that time. So Order created the Stars, small but plentiful, to push back against the fog.
They were like children, the Stars. They wanted something to themselves, something to create and experiment with. Thus emerged the first World, Earth.
The first incarnation.
You know how humans are.
Imperfect. Flawed. Nuanced.
The first Earth fell to a massive war. The Sun felt pity and created the second Earth, a chance to improve.
Famine. War. Plague. Over and over the Earth fell. The Sun felt pity, as did the Moon. The first fourteen Worlds were managed by the Stars, Worlds where the fog was too great and the Stars just couldn't pierce through all the time. Perhaps now the light of the Sun, Moon, and Stars can break through.
The fifteenth. It lasted so long, such a success in the eyes of the Cosmos, in the eyes of Order.
But sometimes, Chaos breaks through. The cold grasp of Chaos wrapped its way across the sky and swallowed it whole into the ether. The World slept... floating in the fog, alone.
The Sun was merciful that day. Now we are in the sixteenth.
Our World.
O, how we have grown!
O, how much gratitude we owe the Sun, the Moon, and the Many, Many Stars!
O, the world we have made for ourselves!

dearest sun
bringer of the light of the ether
in this temple brought up in your name
we ask for you to part the mist of the night and bring forth the new day
and to bless this village rising from the ashes of the destroyed past

the creation of the sun and moon and earth and stars are debated upon when science is left out of the picture
perhaps the world was wrought with chaos in the beginning
perhaps it was pure light, order ruling all
i thought it was nothing at first, then the light of the sun emerged
and allowed all others to form and blossom
that is what it told me,
the sun's interpreter
and messenger to the world
-
the sun thinks it funny that i grow lunar tears and sunflowers next to each other
are they not foils?
-
the sun was the first to come out of the pitch-black ether
lonely, it created the moon
together, they made the stars
in fact, it was the stars that formed the earth, and the sun and moon who took care of it
but it won't last
things rarely do
this is the fifteenth "earth" that was formed
i hope this one stays. it's too beautiful.
-
i fear there is an eclipse approaching
i fear so much that the villagers and townsfolk will be caught in the middle
should i really put my faith in a force so old, so powerful?
i do not deserve to stand at the top
-
i am the interpreter for the primordial force of the sun
i am the voice
i am their messenger
the people ask what it says
i do not want to tell them
this cave is my only refuge from the sun's rays
