Ricca is another student in the Quarry's Circle if Magi. Unlike Mara, however, Ricca's training focuses on battlemagic. By studying batttlemagic, Ricca hopes that she may defend herself as well as her family. Battle magic is a very dangerous discipline but can be very rewarding if one is skilled. Ricca's prefers offensive magic, but no battle mage is well-trained until they can use their magic as both sword and shield. Ricca is very skilled for her age, likely due to her unfaltering study and natural magic affinity. Ricca is considered the most advanced student in the Circle of Magi.

Ricca is the heir to her family and is under great pressure to be a perfect mage, spirit, body, and mind. To that end, Ricca and her family have planned Ricca's life with as much care as needed. Even so, Ricca has now seen the world outside of her estate. She has experienced things that nobody else in her family ever had before. As a result, Ricca is not so sure she would truly be content being cloistered within her home for the rest of her life. It would appear that Ricca's companions in the Circle of given her a newfound breath, but what Ricca does with it might not be up to her for long.
