Name meaning: Valley of stars

"Greetings!" A young Fae calls as she hovers in front of you. "My name is Ledren, and I am the welcomer for the Briar clan! I love to talk to dragons, so I was put in charge of welcoming them! My job just means I get to sit around and talk all day. However, I am also in charge of our guests, such as the ambassadors from other clans." The bouncy fae rambles on. She twists her head. "I'm putting you to sleep aren't I?" She asks with a sigh. "Well then, moving on!" Ledren calls, leading the way into a field. As soon as you leave the protection of the trees, the wind hits you, and you fight to stay standing. Ledren turns around and laughs. "It likes you!" She giggles, and forges on, twisting and rolling through the wind as if she can see the air itself and avoid its tumulous areas. As you look around, you notice that there are many dragons on the grass with their wings stretched up to the sky, as if wishing they could brave the wind. Ledren catches your look. "Those are the elders of the clan. They either have some injury that prevents them from flying, or some other ailment. We have medics that help them, and some dragons heal, but... Some do not." Ledren says nodding her head towards a dragon with stumps for wings. The fae shakes herself head to tail and fly's on, shouting hellos to everydragon she passes. You follow her, then stop. "Um... Where do to clan members sleep?" You ask tentively. "In the caves silly! Although some of them have alternate sleeping quarters, every dragon here has a cave entitled to them. Mine's right over there." She explains flicking her tail towards a small hole in a hill. Suddenly curious, you ask, "Do you have a king or queen?" Ledren pauses and nods. "Queen." She says proudly. "Queen Katrine, and she has a mate, but he is not considered king. You see, every dragon here has a different personality, hand crafted by themselves, so they can be who they want to be. Even a grumpy coatl that hates everyone." Ledren grumps as a golden coatl sticks her head out of a hole in the hill and shouts at the dragonets outside to be quiet. "Well, " Ledren begins, turning to look at you. "that's all there is to this place." You nod and follow her once again back towards the trees where you entered. Once safely there, you turn around to say goodbye to Ledren, but she is gone. Shrugging, you walk through the forest, the trees to close together to fly out until you finally reach the opposite edge of the woods. Just as you begin to take off, you hear a voice. "Come again!" Resonate from the trees, and you wave your tail in goodbye before flying away towards your home.
