______ Ophelia was hated from birth. As a white and unbright coatl, her parents instantly hated her when she was born. Her original name was Shivani, meaning death, chosen by her parents. On many occasions they tried to kill her or torture her while she was within their sight. Her parents were also white, so they knew the trouble it caused and wanted no further part in having a white coatl child. They were tortured as children as well, and wanted no part in this misfortunate child. However, her white Wildclaw older sister named Dalnim and her younger wildclaw brother Chlomos, where cherished.
Once she was old enough to see how badly she was treated, she ran to another clan.

______ She was only a hatchling at that time, and was confused as to where to go. She knew she could not return to Ice, where her parents had nested, or go to light as light would illuminate her disgraceful pelt. She would stand out like a sore thumb in nature and earth so she did not dare go there. The Ashfall wastes called to her, like it does to all coatls, but as many make their home there she knew the bullying would get worse. She also decided against plague as her wounds might get infected. Although the other elements enticed her, she decided upon shadow, where she had heard everyone was welcome and where even if she was not welcome, the shadows would hide her pelt. As she left the frigid lands of Ice, she changed her name to Ophelia, meaning help, in hope of someday finding someone who would help her instead of despising her.

JOURNEY TO SHADOW

______ On her long journey to the shadow lands, she first had to get across the Windswept Plateau, where she learned how to fly. The people of the wind seemed enchanting. They floated without care, and barely seemed to notice her. However, she did not feel welcome. Everyone was in a rush and she felt no one even bothered to talk to her. So, she continued her way to Shadow.

______ After the Windswept Plateau, she had to cross the Sea of a thousand Currents, where she learned to become an excellent swimmer, and swam where no one would see her. She watched as the ocean washed away blood from her wounds, and seemed to hold her in gentle arms. Many tears were poured into that sea as she started to try and heal in the waters. During her journey, she came across a Cumulus Seal who became rather attached to her and chose to take the journey with her. She debated staying in the waters and joining the domain, however, the remarks made by the other dragons she came across were enough to keep her headed toward Shadow.

______ Finally after a long journey, she reached shadow, where she hoped the darkness could conceal her lack of colours. There, a lot of the dragons did not even notice her colours or lack thereof. She even met another completely white coatl, who welcomed her. However, some of the Coatls still noticed, and sunk their teeth into her flesh her every now and then to remind her of her place. They would tell her that the blood would give her colour. They would bite her body to make red splotches which were meant to mimic the paint gene. The other white coatls with more reputation among the clan tried to stop them when they could, but they could not always watch her. She always wears bandages, and is always healing from wounds.
In her journey, she is still very much alone, and is still looking for more than the darkness to hide her colour.
Whenever other dragons drop apparel, she scrounges to pick it up and hide her body. So far she's only managed to grab a red bandana, that keeps her neck from being bitten by the others.
She learned to be tough in shadow, and even though not everyone is kind, she continues to stay. She debates going to water, where the sea calmed and healed her, but until she gains the courage to do so she stays in the shadows.
