Biography


Ran met Aegir many years ago when she joined Dolcis Cubare. The circumstances of her assimilation into the clan were strange indeed; she had been rejected by her previous clan and her family due to a birth defect. Ran was born completely deaf. Her family could not understand her, they didn’t know what was wrong with her for the duration of her youth. When she came into her teens and it was recognized that she was in fact deaf, her family rather heartlessly kicked her out of their clan home.


When Shirinara happened upon the deaf youth, she knew she had to bring her home to her clan, for she had the great fortune to have another Imperial member of her clan(whom had also joined quite recently at that point) who was fluent in sign language, and worked as a professional interpreter. He took to the female quickly, immediately teaching her sign language so she could communicate.


The two took comfort in each other’s company, and before long Ran could sign with ease while Aegir interpreted for her. During this time Ran also picked up studies into naturopathy. She desired to learn healing using home remedies, natural alternatives, crystals etc. and soon picked up a profession as a naturopathic healer for the clan.


Now - a number of years later - Ran and Aegir have become inseparable mates. If one were seen without the other, it would seem as if it were a sign of the end times. While their relationship with each other is extremely close, they also share a tight bond with their friends, familiars, and their companion; Kalista the mermaid.
