Biography
Uh-oh, looks like this shadow wasp boy wandered a little too far from his home lair (194256, Tefian), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him/her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Thalolyss was accustomed to arriving at poorer clans in need. So, being scraped off the ground by a clan sturdy enough to weather the Wyrmwound itself was not exactly his usual. He could sense that his companion Sylph's pride was injured by not being able to protect the both of them from the storm that blew them there, and from being at the whims of this clan's well-armed warriors. Still, he swallowed his own embarrassment, and decided to take it as an opportunity to learn.
He witnessed some novel approaches to medicine - standard healing magic, odd brews purchased from allied Beastclans, and even a strange dragon that made concoctions from snake venom. But his own abilities were never questioned; none had advice. Instead, every dragon Thalolyss spoke to suggested he make his way to the observatory at the top of the spire of bone and speak to the eldest Arcane mage.
Thalolyss made his way up, half-flying and half-climbing, grateful for his fur coat. The observatory sat well above the Wyrmwound's blanket of humid clouds, and unlike the swampy, fetid landscape below, the upper areas were crisp and cool.
Reaching the top at last, he poked his head into a round, open-ceilinged room. Most of the observatory was dedicated to shelves upon shelves of tiny, strange-looking instruments and pulsating crystals; there was only just barely enough room for a Tundra to squeeze in.
"Is anyone there?" he ventured, sniffing around. The acrid, metallic scent of magic was tremendous, but the observatory seemed empty. Just when he was about to leave, a diminutive Fae fluttered down. Thalolyss blinked; he never would have noticed the tiny dragon. "Oh, hello."
"You must be the medic," remarked the Fae, flatly. "While you may have more to learn, I have nothing of medicine to teach you."
"But-" Thalolyss was shocked. "You have to know something! I have to be able to help more clans-"
"If our patrol hadn't found you, the terrors that stalk the night would have devoured you and your companion both." The Fae fluttered his silver crests dismissively. "You can't hide behind that companion of yours forever. You can help others after you have learned to help yourself."
"What do you mean?"
The elder mage tilted his head with a hint of whimsy. "Obviously, I'm going to teach you how to fight."
Thalolyss gulped. He had never thought of himself as a fighter, and the idea of hurting others dismayed him. But he didn't want to have to be a burden on Sylph forever. Perhaps by the time he left this clan, he would be able to at least defend himself...
While traveling across the Tangled Wood, Thalolyss sniffed out a gaoler with an injured shoulder. Despite the gaoler's grumpiness, he gratefully patched up his wound and invited him along for the journey, eager to learn more about the emergence of the new breed on Sornieth. (Long Live the King)

Thaloyss was a traveling medic. However, when he meets clans that offer a place to stay during his travels, he ends up spending several months there due to the attachments he makes. It’s hard to want to leave after such friendships are made. But life goes on, and he needs to find clans that have no doctors or could barely pay for one. He may not have a charge like a Guardian, but he was just as dedicated to his cause.
