Nautilus

favorite food(s):
Brown Pelican Wave Sentinel

A ferocious warrior whose tactics are similar to that of a wild animal's, Nautilus is a fierce mercenary. He'll stop at nothing to defeat his prey, showing no restraint or mercy to them. He eagerly rushes into battle, barely giving opponents a chance to think, much less act.

Other mercenaries often have to join him during outings just to make sure Nautilus isn't too reckless, which he frequently is. He's prone to getting tunnel vision when an enemy is in his sights, attacking fervently. Luckily he's a very powerful fighter, so the odds are mostly in his favor in battle.

Nautilus acts more like a wild animal than a civilized dragon, despite somewhat being one. He prefers hunting for his own food most of the time, flying or swimming in the waters surrounding his home, and sleeping after big meals. He's actually quite articulate when speaking, he simply prefers living the way he does. It's fulfilling for him, and of course is always welcome to live typically should he ever change his mind.

He's not the most introverted dragon, but Nautilus does rarely interact with others aside from mercenary work. He'll greet his clanmates if he crosses paths with them, occasionally will make small talk as well, but goes about his daily chores solitarily. He can come off as intimidating, not knowing when to break eye contact. He's also rather blunt, not adhering to social norms. It's rare for him to consider ones feelings, viewing honesty as the best policy.

Because of his candor, though, many appreciate him. He has a good rapport with other hunter and mercenary dragons, often joining them as a bonding activity. He definitely lives his life like a more primitive dragon. Incidentally, he has a bit of a fascination with the returning Ancients, and actively tries to associate with them. He has no desire to transmute into a different breed, though, as he's used to his body and how to be an efficient fighter with it.

extra:

He lives in a hollowed out tree at the southernmost point in the village. Somehow, the tree grew in the middle of the river.

Name origin: Named after the animal.
