Until Kyrinth came to join their clan, Aegis was at a loss as to what he wanted to do with his life. Unlike his younger sister, Tiberia, he had no desire to take up fighting. He has now dedicated his life to guarding Kyrinth, his mate.

His intimidating getup is to make sure that no one comes near her that she does not want to be there. Kyrinth wonders if this protectiveness is due to his mother's guardian roots, as Avaritia was a guardian before coming upon a set of scrolls that allowed her and Contagion to become skydancers.

Aegis' cat, Nutmeg, has an even better sense of smell than her master does, and uses it to track down Ginger, Kyrinth's cat, whenever he gets lost.
