Despite her prophetic sight (or maybe because of it), Elif is practical, clear-thinking and kind. Her good counsel is highly valued throughout the clan.
When a mysterious library appeared in the Obscured Crescent, it was Elif who suggested the clan should offer accommodation to the building's guardian and curator. Seeing how busy the library was, she offered her services and proved to be an invaluable assistant, freeing up Bookshelf to deal with the more specialised requests. A deep and lasting friendship developed between the two and Elif was tempted to follow the library when it finally moved on. In the end she decided the peripatetic lifestyle wouldn't suit her and chose to remain with her clan. She promised to consider joining the librarian later and hopes their paths will cross again one day.
