Hylätty tyttö kuului selvästi valon heimoon, mutta silti muut eivät voineet välttyä perin merkilliseltä auralta, joka osittain pelotti näitä. Tieteilijöinä toiset lähestyivät kiinnostuneina nuorinta heimonsa jäsentä. He pitivät tästä huolta. Silti he eivät koskaan oppineet lukemaan Luneiséllea.

Toisin kuin muut valon lohikäärmeet, tyttö rakasti yötä ja eritoten kuuta. Hän palvoi valkoista taivaan helmeä niin paljon, että muut alkoivat kutsua tyttöä ”Kuun prinsessaksi”. Nuoruuden innolla Luneisélle perehtyi muinaisiin kirjoituksiin, kuten heimon tapoihin kuului, mutta poikkeuksellisesti hän teki työnsä yöllä muiden nukkuessa. Luneiséllen kasvava mielenkiinto Sorniethin historiaa kohtaan ei pian enää tullut tyydytetyksi kotiseuduilla. Hän janosi lisää ja siksi hän matkasi Tähdenlennon saariryhmään päästäkseen lähemmäksi ihannoimaansa taivaankappaletta.

Tyttö haki Mystisten voimien akatemiaan ja opiskeli toisen rehtoreista, Mystiquen alaisuudessa. Kunnianhimo sai tytön kuitenkin keskeyttämään opinnot arvostetussa opinahjossa. Hän ei ollut saanut vastauksia kaikkiin hakemiinsa kysymyksiin. Chouchou nimitti tytön virallisesti ”Yön prinsessaksi”, sillä hän luotti Luneisélleen. Kylmän ja elottoman valon maalaamalta taivaalta tyttö saattoi luoda oman säteilevän katseensa suoman kaiken läpäisevän valon saariryhmän ylle.
