Amethyst can usually be found curled up in a corner snoring away. He would never leave Clydri for the world, but dealing with so many Spirals as family members tires him out so much he has taken a break from being a clan leader. When two of his kids went rogue and left the clan, he didn't know whether to be sad, or grateful not to have more spirals to deal with. After already having to deal with energetic squabbling Spirals, he makes an excellent mediator.
When he isn't caught in the middle of a family argument, he likes flying in the skies, enjoying nature. He likes the patterns that lightning can make in the sky and thinks that they're beautiful (and "SUPER DUPER AWESOME!!!!" but he'll never say that out loud).
