Spectrolite is a creature of simple needs, one of which being the need to always be in flight, and the other seeing the reflection of all of the world's kinds of light in her shimmering scales. Her pearl enfolds layer after layer of laughing amidst the rays of the glowing sun, silent and contemplative soaring by the light of the full moon, and mirroring with fascination the cool glow of foxfire mushrooms and bioluminescent sea creatures.

For as much as she loves light, Spectrolite is just as afraid of its absence. Darkness and stillness frighten her terribly, leaving her feeling bare and alone. The presence of light and moving air around her seem to affirm her own existence, and so Spectrolite is hesitant at best to enter deep caves, thick forest, and slot canyons.
