Character Amanita, a witch-turned-necromancer, is much older than he appears. Although the body he occupies has just barely reached maturity, his consciousness was born many, many centuries ago. Living for that stretch of time has significantly molded his psyche and worldview into something incomparable. Despite inhabiting Sornieth in a physical form, his mind is often off somewhere else, and he can usually be found in a deep meditative state, projecting his soul into the darkest reaches of the planet, a watchful eye always on the world's deepest secrets and divine workings. Although appointed as a council member after assisting the current leader, Laccaria, he is rarely active, and is only contacted for divination purposes.

On occasion he can be roused to a wakeful state, often pestered by naive mortal dragons led to him by rumors and stories of his otherworldly wisdom, seeking answers for their own lives, though seldom does he indulge in their questioning. He relates symbolically to such mushrooms, as a saprophyte feeding on decaying, stagnant souls, recycling them into something far more remarkable.

The wraps on his body are a remiss attempt to hold together his vessel, as it is often prone to becoming arthritic and feeble. The crown he wears is believed to heighten his dark powers. Although he occasionally inhabits the bodies of different species, a consequence of his immortality leads every one of his forms to be void of color.
