Precious Treasures Youngsoul sat at his desk in boredom while tapping the pile of coins on his desk with the tips of his fingers. The gold, shining, coins no longer entertained him like they used too as he would stare at the coins for hours on end and sort them into different, organized, piles. The gold coins could no longer fill the emptiness he now felt on this quiet night. "Why are the coins not keeping me happy? Money is supposed to be the key to all happiness... or is it?", Youngsoul questions himself as he stops tapping at the shiny pile of coins and starts to sort them in hopes to get the spark of happiness that he greatly desires. However, there is no such luck as the Coatl gets disinterested very quickly and turns his attention to the full moon outside the window. The coins and me are both similar: we are shiny, valuable, and... shiny! The coins should be keeping me happy because of our similarities. But it has been awhile since I have seen another face..., Youngsoul starts to remember the long days in the hoard, only focusing on obtaining the shiny glittering coins, and suddenly realizes; I have not seen another dragon in almost three years. He was lonely. He did not speak to anybody besides Treya, but even then those are only simple orders or requests. He had no friends. Youngsoul swipes his desk with his wing knocking the glittering coins onto the ground and making them scatter across the hard wooden floor. The emptiness that he felt was something the coins could no longer fill, and now he must find a way to fill it. "I will go talk to another dragon! I know there are some that wander the clan at night!", Youngsoul states to himself as he triumphantly walks to the door. But as he gets closer to the door, he starts to slow down and thoughts run across his head. What happens if he starts to trip over his words? What if he says the wrong thing? What if they don't like him? What if he makes an utter fool of himself and will be condemned by everyone? Youngsoul stops in front of the door, trembling. "I am scared.", Youngsoul cries. Knocking from the door stops Youngsoul's tears as he leans towards the door to hear who it is. "Youngsoul? Are you okay in there?". A deep voice. Light knocking. It has to be Radinen, Selenia's son, Youngsoul concludes. "It's me, Radinen. I heard some noises from next door and want to know if your okay.", a long pause follows, "Youngsoul are you there?" Youngsoul stood there in fear wondering if he should answer or not to prevent himself from being made a fool, more than he already is. It felt as if hours have passed until Radinen signals, "I am coming in." The door opens and there stood poor Youngsoul, nearly about to burst into tears. Radinen was stunned for a moment until he starts to lead the Coatl to his bed to rest. "It will be alright Youngsoul. You do not need to cry.", Radinen only pats Youngsoul's back as Youngsoul whimpers in response. "There is no rush for you to speak either. Take as much time as you need." |

Origins: Opulent Pheonix A certain dragon light species that was carved from the ashes of the Fire territory, Youngsoul is part of the perfect blood-line of the Opulent Phoenixes. However, he does not tend to follow the certain traits of the species ever since he found things better than treasure. Youngsoul has similar looks as his father, Lucifer, but not similar personalities nor does he to his mother. Youngsoul is not connected with his parents at all which does not help about details about his origins with most of his life being here in Traveler's Breeze. Role: The Hoard Keeper Youngsoul is the tracker of what comes in and out of the clan's hoard. Every item, or item that needs to be obtain, is written on the Hoard Script. Sometimes the hoard's belongings do not change for a few weeks, and leads to Youngsoul to do other tasks besides watching the hoard everyday. |
