The adult shooed the impling away, dismissing his questions with a arrant wave of the claw.
The hatchling squacked at this, puffing up himself to seem bigger, awkwardly waddling away from the adult, steaming with unmentioned rage.
Meditate? Him? It was not his place to choose his name! The older ones were to help! Not tell him to do it by himself!
He turned around, looking back angrily at the adult who dismissed him.
Meditate on his name... Huh.
Getting a nasty, but clever idea, he took the scroll around his neck, and quickly stealing a unused quill and its pot, wrote down Meditate on the scroll that kept his name safe.
All the dragons of his clan had it.
And if the bigger dragons had a problem with it, he smirked nastily, they'd just have to buy a new scroll.
