Unsavory dealer of illicit substances. Makes a lovely cocktail, though you'd be careful what they put in there.
The Merchant
You walk amongst darkened stalls with silent hawkers displaying their wares. Your skin crawls just looking at what they have to offer. You pick up the pace, eager to escape this wretched encampment, almost preferring the lifeless waste to this sick parody of a marketplace. Dark shapes move between the stalls, coin and dubious items switching hands.
You've learned not to look too closely.
"Hey, friend. I have something that might interest you." Startled, you look at the speaker, the first person to address you directly. "Come closer."
Against your better judgement you obey. One red eye peeks out from under a hood, shifting uneasily.
"Follow me, we don't have much time, your hands only. You know this place is different, I've got something to help you. Yeah, I could help you escape." They shift uneasily, glancing about.
You don't trust them, but you are eager to leave this horrible land. The figure shuffles off,
glancing back to see if you follow. Slowly, you step towards them. They approach a doorway and go through, calling back, "Just through here."
As you step through the doorway, a sack comes over your head. You fight and claw and kick,
but there are several bodies struggling to subdue you. You feel a pinprick in your back,
and the world twists and goes dark.
