Biography
A foundling from an unfamiliar land, Eran was adopted into the clan mere days before Diral's hatching. He was largely ignored by Hortzan, and only occasionally acknowledged by Brixal. When the progenitors' first egg together hatched, however, he found someone who would accept him. Snappy little Diral developed a great fondness for the red and gold stranger, and he for her. The two would happily tussle, snapping and clawing and chasing each other through the tall grass.
Growing up away from his own kind has had a noticeable impact on how Eran behaves. Like all Pearlcatchers, he instinctively places a high value on his pearl and adds to it as any other would. However, he was never told why it is so important to him, and that information is not rooted in instinct. As such, he does not insist on carrying it around with him everywhere; it remains tucked under his bedding, and if he were to lose it, he would probably shrug and begin making a new one.
He also lacks the superiority complex that is so common among his species; he's adopted the Mirror pack mentality and the Fae love of community, and believes himself equal to all members of his clan. This easygoing attitude has made him rather popular in the clan, and he seems to be universally liked by all the others.
He shares particularly strong bones with Diral and Kesiir, stemming from their cubhoods together. He still tussles with Diral, even though her father's special training means she tops him every time. (Nearly all of the scars he carries are from these playful scraps.) He is also unafraid of Kesiir, and is one of the few dragons the reclusive shaman warms to. The skull necklace he wears is a gift from his adoptive brother, supposedly charged with protective energies.
