“Enough. We’re leaving, I have all the information I need from him, Saet.” He spoke softly, subvocals rumbling with amusement as his sometimes partner released the human without argument. The man blustered as he fought for his breath, claiming he hadn’t spoken a word to betray his fellow mercenaries. Saet huffed a chuckle, melodic as she smiled at the human, legs carrying her away from the man.

“Sometimes not speaking is more valuable information, human.” Kaevus told him as his unblinking, cybernetic eyes watched the man. “Get out while you’re still walking. There are plenty of places for someone with your skill to find work.” His hand rose, showing his two fingers closing around a trigger that glowed green. The humans face paled as he realized what the trigger would set off, head whipping to the large bomb pressed up against the tunnel entrance. “You have until I reach Haroj.”
